True Grit is a Skill card for the Ironclad. It grants 7 Block (9 if Upgraded), and Exhausts a random other card in hand. If True Grit is Upgraded, the player chooses the card in hand to Exhaust.
Tips[]
- While True Grit only grants 2 more Block than a basic Defend, its real strength lies in the ability to Exhaust cards. Exhausting cards can trigger many strong effects, including Feel No Pain, Sentinel, Dark Embrace, Charon's Ashes, and the Dead Branch. It also disposes of Curse and Status cards.
- Even without dedicated combos, this card can still temporarily remove cards that are undesired in the current combat (e.g. having Pummel when fighting a Spiker).
- Upgrading True Grit is highly recommended. Without the ability to select the card, combos are die rolls, and the player runs the risk of Exhausting useful cards.
