Synergy

• Steam Barrier works well as a clutch source of Block. It gives a competent amount of block for zero energy. Works specially well on lower floors.
  • This card is particularly useful on an expensive turn. Use it with Boot Sequence or Chill to gains a significant amount of Block while spending the rest of your energy on other cards.
• Steam Barrier gets worse as the fight goes on. Either its Block is reduced significantly or enemy scales over it. Try to finish the fight as quickly as possible.
• Steam Barrier will be generated by Hello World with its base, maximum amount of Block. It can be use as a throwaway source of Block.
• Its Block is still affected by Dexterity. On a circumstance where you can reliably gain Dexterity, such as with Kunai or Reprogram, Steam Barrier can remain relevant throughout the fight.
• This is a rare occasion when the card does not work well with Echo Form, as its potency will diminish twice as fast.
