The Spire Shield and Spire Spear is the Elite encounter always fought in Act IV of the Spire. Their block, damage, and Surrounded mechanic make them a tough adversary.
Surrounded: Receive 50% more damage if attacked from behind. Use targeting cards or potions to change your orientation.
The player starts combat facing right between the two enemies and can use cards or potions to face the opposite direction. Additionally, using a Smoke Bomb Potion will not work until one of the two enemies is killed.
Spire Shield
Despite its lower HP, the Spire Shield is the tankier of the two enemies. Its Smash attack may be dangerous in the beginning of the fight, but Spire Spear will begin to hit much harder.
