The Slime Boss is one of the three bosses encountered at the end of Act 1.


Pattern[]

Will always go through the pattern of Goop Spray, Preparing, Slam, and then repeat.

Split occurs when its HP is at 50% or below.

Goop Spray Debuff2 Shuffles 3 Slimed to your discard pile.

Slam Intent - Attack - Sickle Deals 35 damage.

Split Intent - Unknown Splits into an Acid Slime (L) and a Spike Slime (L)

with current HP. Interrupts previous intents.

Tips[]

  • Slam hits for quite a bit of damage, so try and force him to split by his 3rd turn by dealing 70+ total damage, or use Icon Weak Weak and/or a lot of Icon Block Block.
  • Since the slimes left after split have health equal the boss's, it's a good idea to try to get it as far below half health as you can in one turn, so the new slimes have less health and are easier to deal with. The same strategy applies to the smaller slimes when they split.

Trivia[]

  • The name “Slime Boss” is a parody of “Crime Boss” due to the fact that this boss has a Mafia-style hat and also splits into other slimes, a reference to the elusive and neverending nature of mob families.

    • Meat on the Bone, Red Skull, Slime's Split, and Berserk all trigger on less than or equal to 50% HP and desc are updated to reflect this
  • Weekly Patch 2: Slimes!
    • Slime Boss gets a minor nerf.
    • Fixed bug where defeating Slime Boss wasn't giving achievement.
