Simmering Fury will put your character into Wrath and draw 2(3) cards at the start of the next turn.

Interactions[]

  • Since Wrath is entered at the start of the next turn, being in Calm at the end of the turn in which you play Simmering Fury will allow you to use the extra PurpleEnergyEnergy from exiting Calm on the next turn.
  • Simmering Fury pairs well with Meditate, since it places you in Calm (for additional energy when entering Wrath) and allows you to select a card to exit Wrath for the next turn to prevent taking double damage.
  • Simmering Fury's Wrath occurs after Icon Mantra Mantra is given. This means if you have played Simmering Fury but at the start of the next turn you accrue enough Mantra to enter Divinity (from Devotion or Damaru Damaru), you will briefly enter Divinity but then immediately enter Wrath. This will give you the extra 3 PurpleEnergyEnergy from entering Divinity and counts as two switches in Stance for Mental Fortress, but you'll miss out on the benefits of the Divinity stance.
