Ritual Dagger is a Colorless Card that can only be obtained from The Nest Event.

Killing an enemy with Ritual Dagger will increase the card's damage by 3(5) for the rest of the run. Using it will exhaust it, whether it kills an enemy or not.

Some enemies do not count for kills to increase Ritual Dagger's damage, listed below under Interactions.


  • Exhume can be used to return Ritual Dagger to your deck, allowing for more than one use or kill per battle.
  • StrangeSpoon.png Strange Spoon gives a 50% chance that Ritual Dagger will not exhaust on use.
  • Minions do not count as kills. These are recognized by the Icon Minion.png icon. For a list of minion enemies, see the Minion page.
  • As with all Fatal cards, if fighting Darklings reducing the HP of one of them to 0 does not count as a kill unless it was the final enemy from the batch.
  • Defeating the first phase of the Awakened One does not count as a kill.
  • Using Omniscience to kill two separate enemies with Ritual Dagger will not cause it to upgrade twice, only once.
