Hey, I'm sorry if this weird. So, basically I just trying to edit some wiki (not this one) and I like to use icon on text. I can't find any tutorial, so find that slay slay the spire use it. I copy paste the code form module:keyword/data and template:icon but it doesn't work. I saw you're on the history of the module and an administrator so I would like to ask if you know how to set that up.
Hey thank you for answering. I finally able to set the icon (I think I accidently deleted some part on the first time), but when i hover to the icon it only use the link name on the tooltips, not the name and text. And one more thing, is it possible to make icon clickable? when I delete the link part on the module it redirect to the file name. (english is not my first languange, sorry if this confusing)
Could you provide the screenshot for me? Currently the 'icons' are technically the 'keyword' without texts, and it would link to Energy or Orbs page. And in the Keywords/data module, the code is written in a way that it would pull a link of the template from the 'name' of the keyword, unless it has 'Link' data field.
Could you clarify which statistics page you are talking about? I'd like a link to it. I'm also pretty sure that browsers have a function where you can download the page itself as a whole without needing said page to have a link for download.
Hey there. As you're probably aware, Fandom merged with Gamepedia in late 2018, and as a part of that effort, we have been trying to merge Fandom and Gamepedia Wikis that cover the same topic. Consequently, the Gamepedia wiki for Slay the Spire will most likely be redirected to the Fandom wiki (this one) since the Fandom wiki experiences more activity than the GP wiki. I wanted to run this by you before this potentially happens just to give you a heads-up and to also check if you had any questions about this. Do let me know if you have any thoughts. Thanks.
Yeah no Shrev, I was wondering when that would happen too. The gamepedia wiki has an awful lot of missing information compared to this one and was still called the "official" wiki. I'm completely fine with that wiki linking over to here instead, because it does seem pointless having 2 places for the one job.
Are there gonna be any noticeable effects that editors might witness during the time the merge takes place or is it just in the background?
It would mostly be in the background, editing should** be unaffected. The only changes that the Fandom side would see would be a potential influx of new editors. Additionally, I would imagine that the official status would carry over to the Fandom side (though I will have to double-check just to be certain).
This may be related to something I commented on the Act 4 page. I've only been playing for a week or so, I beat the act 3 boss the other day with the defect before completing his progression, and didn't unlock the sapphire key. I just beat the act 3 boss again after completing the defects progression, and the key unlocked, so you may need to have finished each characters progression in order to unlock thier specific key. For context I had previously completed the progression of the ironclad and the silent before beating the act 3 boss with those characters, and unlocked their keys, so I'm pretty sure it's related.
I noticed that Special:Community isn't enabled for this wiki and I wanted to ask if you would be interested in enabling it. The Community page essentially acts as a hub where new and recent editors can see what pages or content needs attention to, and it also has an easy listing of who the staff are. Most of it can be customized so you can direct editors to the right places. What are your thoughts?
Oh really? I didn't see it on the wiki features when I checked the admin dashboard, but I didn't search further at the time because it didn't seem that vital. It would be a great addition right now, most card pages are empty or just stubs. Getting attention to them would be great. How do we turn it on?
Hi Vertroyer! My name is Shrev, and I’m the Fandom Wiki Manager for Slay the spire Wiki. I am here to help the community and be a liaison to full-time Fandom staff. If you ever have a question or issue relating to the wiki, editing, styling, infoboxes, templates, etc., please feel free to contact me on my message wall, or on Discord at Shrev64#0089.
There is one I got at the moment related to templates.
I've been wanting to make a potions template similar to the keyword and card templates we currently have going on. If you go into one of the pages or something you'll see how the template works, like in the Ironclad page.
Problem is I only managed to get the template to show wording of the potion but without an image after asking for some help from a programmer. Worse, using the template breaks the whole paragraph and formatting, and then links some things with other things and then some paragraphs cannot be edited any more and have to be selected as a whole and it just gets really messy. It also becomes a hellhole for anyone trying to edit the page in visual editor.
We've had the same issue with the card template but putting the sentence in bullet points stopped the problem for some reason, but that didn't work with the potion template. Thing is I don't know how to program a template on a wiki properly, so my hands are tied here.
This is the potion template right here. What can be done to fix this up and make it show an image along with the function of a potion?
Check out your Admin Dashboard, which can be found by clicking "Admin" on the bottom toolbar. It has links to all your new tools. Please let me know if you have any questions, and good luck with your new (old) wiki!
As the title suggests, I'm considering "adopting" the wiki and becoming B-crat. The only 3 staff in this wiki, being composed of a Founder/B-crat, an admin and a Discussions/Chat mod have all been inactive for the past few months. This wiki is not fully updated and still has a long way to go since most pages are complete stubs.
Some of the things needed to better this wiki are only available for staff, which is why we need one. I haven't seen any other applications for staffing this wiki, so I'm making one myself and asking for feedback.
