Limit Break is a Rare Skill card for the Ironclad. It doubles the player's current Strength, then Exhausts. When Upgraded, Limit Break does not Exhaust and can be played multiple times per combat.

Interactions[]

  • Limit Break works well with Strength-boosting Relics such as Vajra, Girya, Du-Vu Doll, and Red Skull.
  • Strength Potions can be used to provide an initial +2 Strength, which can then be doubled with Limit Break.
  • Flex Potions and Flex provide some Strength and an equal amount of the Strength Down debuff. Using the Flex Potion/playing Flex and using Limit Break during that same turn will double the Strength added without affecting the Strength Down debuff, keeping a large amount of extra Strength.
  • Headbutt can return Limit Break+ to the top of the deck, allowing Limit Break to be used on multiple turns quickly.
  • Exhume can get back a non-Upgraded Limit Break for an extra use.
  • Limit Break requires an existing Strength modifier to have an effect (as 2 times 0 is still 0). Without any Strength buff or debuff, Limit Break does nothing.
  • Negative Strength, such as from Lagavulin's Siphon Soul debuff, will also be doubled by Limit Break.

    • Limit Break card now also doubles negative strength.
  • Weekly Patch 5: Happy Holidays!
    • Keywords for cards now cleared on upgrade (Limit break was showing exhaust tooltip post upgrade).
