Limit Break is a Rare Skill card for the Ironclad. It doubles the user's current Icon Strength.png Strength. With no pre-existing strength boost, the card will have no effect.

The base card Exhausts after use, while the upgraded card does not and can be played multiple times per combat.

Interactions[]

  • Limit Break only works upon existing Icon Strength.png Strength buffs. This works well with strength boosting relics such as Vajra.png Vajra, Girya.png Girya, Du-VuDoll.png Du-Vu Doll, and RedSkull.png Red Skull.
  • StrengthPotion.png Strength Potions can be used to provide an initial +2 which can then be doubled by Limit Break.
  • SteroidPotion.png Flex Potions and Flex provide Icon Strength.png Strength along with the Strength Down debuff at the end of the turn. Using the Flex Potion/playing Flex and Limit Break immediately after on the same turn will provide a twice the strength boost but only the initial strength reduction at the end of the turn, basically allowing you to keep the strength obtained and not losing it next turn, while having double strength for one turn.
  • Headbutt can allow for quickly cycling an upgraded Limit Break through your deck for repeated use.
  • If a non-upgraded Limit Break is exhausted, Exhume can return it to the deck,
  • Limit Break requires an existing Icon Strength.png Strength bonus to work. Without it, the card does nothing.

    • Keywords for cards now cleared on upgrade (Limit break was showing exhaust tooltip post upgrade).
