Flex is a Skill card for the Ironclad. It grants the user 2 (4) Strength and applies 2 (4) Strength Down, which reduces the user's Strength by 2 (4) when their turn ends. Strength Down is considered a Debuff, and so can be negated by some effects (see Interactions).
Upon upgrade, Strength and Strength Down both increase from 2 to 4.
Interactions[]
- Cards which hit multiple times benefit the most from strength buffs since each hit is given the damage boost, such as Sword Boomerang or Pummel. Heavy Blade also carries an innate boost from strength.
- The Strength Down effect only removes as much Strength as the card gives (2 base, 4 upgraded). This means if an upgraded Flex is played (+4 strength) followed by Limit Break (doubles strength to +8) , the player will still only lose -4 strength at the end of the round leaving a +4 overall strength boost for the rest of combat.
- Since Strength Down is a Debuff, using Orange Pellets or having an active Artifact before use will negate the Strength Down effect while keeping the Strength boost.
Update History[]
- Weekly Patch 24: Potions?!
- Flex Power's downside Debuff renamed for clarity.
