Evolve is an Uncommon Power card for the Ironclad. After it's played, an additional card will be drawn whenever a Status card is drawn.

Upon upgrade, drawing a Status card results in two extra card draws instead of one.

Interactions[]

  • A player may use powerful cards such as Power Through, Wild Strike, Reckless Charge, and Immolate without their deck suffering nearly as much, so long as Evolve is played before the Status cards from those cards are drawn. An upgraded Evolve gives a draw advantage to any status drawn, actually increasing draw instead of being neutral.
  • Evolve's extra card draws can greatly help against enemies who flood your deck with Statuses, such as Sentries, Slime Boss, and Taskmaster.
  • Evolve effectively counters the negative effect imposed by MarkofPain Mark of Pain.
  • Evolve synergizes well with Exhaust-themed decks, as drawn Status cards can be exhausted by Second Wind or Fiend Fire while still taking advantage of Evolve's extra draws.
  • Power Through adds status cards directly to your hand. These status cards are created, not drawn, so Evolve will not activate initially.
  • Evolve cannot draw cards beyond the 10-card hand limit.
  • Curses do not count as Status cards.

Update History[]

  • Weekly Patch 18: Paranormal
    • Evolve rework: No longer gives Wounds. Now triggers on any Status card, not just Wounds.
  • Weekly Patch 4: Full speed ahead!
    • Evolve should no longer trigger even if No Draw power is active.
  • Day 1 Patch
    • Evolve power tooltip was displaying duplicate information incorrectly.
