Dark Embrace is a Power card for the Ironclad. After it is played, each time a card is Exhausted, you immediately draw 1 card per card Exhausted.
When Upgraded, Dark Embrace costs 1 Energy instead of 2.
Mechanics[]
- The Dark Embrace buff is stackable, so playing multiple copies will draw more and more cards for a single card Exhausted.
- Ethereal cards Exhaust at the end of your turn, and effectively causes you to draw cards in advance of your next turn.
Tips[]
- Dark Embrace is extremely powerful in concert with Corruption. Corruption allows you to play any Skill for free, and when that card Exhausts itself, Dark Embrace will draw an additional card to replace it. This can lead to explosive combos, particularly after using multiple copies of Dark Embrace.
- Dark Embrace makes it possible to copy Fiend Fire with Double Tap or
Necronomicon. Normally, the second use of Fiend Fire does nothing because there are no more cards in hand to Exhaust, but having Dark Embrace will repopulate the hand with cards for the second Fiend Fire to burn.
