Consume is an Uncommon Skill card for the The Defect. Upon use, you will lose the leftmost orb slot, and gain 2 (3 when upgraded) Focus.
Interactions[]
- With Capacitor, Runic Capacitor, or Inserter, this card can be very powerful. If you rely on the passive effects of channeled orbs, though, there comes a certain point where having an additional orb slot is better than having an additional 2 or 3 Focus. However, if you rely on the continuous evoking of orbs, you can consume all your slots down to just one slot. This strategy works well with Chaos.
- Consuming a slot that contains an orb will just remove the orb rather than evoking it.
- It's notable that if you consume all your slots, you can no longer channel or evoke any orbs.
- Consume is playable even when you have no orb slots left (and still gives you focus).
