Blasphemy is a Rare Skill for The Watcher which allows her to enter Divinity instantly at the cost of dying on the start of the player's next turn. The card is Exhausted upon use, meaning it can only be played once per battle unless the player has Exhume.

Upgrading the card to Blasphemy+ causes it to Icon Retain.png Retain, which is particularly useful for deck builds that utilize Blasphemy.

Strategy[]

  • Obviously, if the player does not plan to end the fight the turn Blasphemy is used, it should not be played unless the player has Icon Intangible.png Intangible, Icon Buffer.png Buffer, or another source of death prevention such as a FairyinaBottle.png Fairy in a Bottle.[1]
  • Blasphemy synergizes extremely well with cards such as Signature Move due to its ability to instantly allow the Watcher to enter Divinity, which will triple output damage.
    • Blasphemy also synergizes well with low-cost cards that either deal damage or draw other cards, such as Cut Through Fate and Sands of Time, as Divinity lasts for one turn, meaning drawing cheap cards with decent attack power is a boon.
  • By far, the worst card to use with Blasphemy is Vault. As Vault immediately ends your turn, you will end up dying.

Interactions[]

  • Due to the effect being technically a buff, it cannot be blocked by Icon Artifact.png Artifact, nor can it be cleansed by OrangePellets.png Orange Pellets.
  1. Despite its description, Blasphemy actually causes you to receive an amount of damage so large that you will always die, which can be prevented by buffs that reduce damage such as Icon Buffer.png Buffer, Icon Intangible.png Intangible, or the FairyinaBottle.png Fairy in a Bottle.
